Arsenal looking increasingly tasty in best away record market

Published:

In Arsenal’s current Premier League form, they may soon be nearing odds-on in every market they feature in, so now is the time to back them at 23/10 to finish the season with the best away record in the Premier League.

Let’s not forget that Arsenal’s majestic early-season form has not been conjured out of thin air.

Just because a certain German and a Welshman have been ‘off the hook’ in the early stages of the 2013/14 campaign, this group of players have simply carried on a roll which began in the latter stages of last season.

After losing the north London derby last March, the Gunners set off on a run which saw them go undefeated in their last 10 league games, where they won eight times.

On the road is where they were the most ruthless too. Arsene Wenger’s side won their last five straight outside of the Emirates at the back end of last season, while they’ve only dropped two of a possible 12 points on their travels so far this.

Furthermore, the Gunners may not have been trophy winners in previous campaigns, but they topped this market in the 2010/11 season, were third in the following and second in the 2012/13 standings.

From their main competition, Manchester United at 11/4, have already recorded losses at Anfield and the Etihad, while 11/2 shots Manchester City have slumped to even more damaging defeats at Cardiff and Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are understandably short also at 10/3, though the Blues have dropped points at White Hart Lane, Old Trafford and Goodison Park already.
