Teatime double for Arsenal worth backing against Swansea

Saturday’s televised evening kick-off sees in-form Arsenal travel to a Swansea side who’ve also hit their stride recently, as we go in search of some interesting trends punters may wish to consider.

We’ve already alluded to the fact on this site that the contrast of Swansea’s poor home record against Arsenal’s imperious away form, offers plenty to nudge punters in the direction of yet another Gunners win, priced up at 6/5 with Ladbrokes.

Nevertheless, it’s always a good idea to try and fish out some other less obvious, but potentially profitable bets, which may be lurking.

A feature of Arsenal’s great away form is that they’ve been scoring freely, netting three at Fenerbahce, Fulham and Sunderland, before sticking two past Marseille for good measure.

This trend alone is enough to bring into play a raft of markets which could well be worth exposing.

How about; Arsenal to win and over 2.5 goals to be scored in the match for starters, at 9/4?

Less profitable, but a safer shot could be the over 2.5 total goals in the match at 4/5, an occurrence which would have delivered in six of Arsenal’s eight games in all competitions to date.

Also along this two-or-more goals for the visitors theme, it’s certainly worth having a crack at the 27/20 on offer that Arsenal leave south Wales having scored 2-3 goals.

Meanwhile, a little look at the past meetings between the sides at the Liberty Stadium reveals another interesting quirk, that Arsenal have in fact notched exactly twice on their last three visits, which includes in the FA Cup last season.

Over 1.5 Arsenal goals can be backed at 1/1 with Ladbrokes. Meanwhile, in Michu, Swansea have their chief tormentor of the Gunners since the Spaniard’s arrival last summer.

Michu has just found his scoring shoes five times for the Swans this season already and also notched three times against Arsenal last term, famously bagging a brace at the Emirates Stadium last December.

Swansea’s main man is a 2/1 shot to register anytime, while it’s 6/1 with Ladbrokes that he opens the scoring.
