Luis Suarez specials: Ladbrokes are 4/6 that Uruguayan starts

Manchester United entertain Liverpool in the Capital One Cup and with all eyes on Luis Suarez, who is in line to make his return for the visitors after a 10-match ban, Ladbrokes have released a series of special bets.

Love him, hate him, or despise him, Suarez is a world class talent and given the nature of Liverpool’s tricky-looking cup tie with the old foe, everyone is fully expecting to see the number seven make his Reds’ return at Old Trafford.

But will the Uruguayan start? Brendan Rodgers was typically coy about whether he’ll make the first XI his pre-match press conference.

However, the Liverpool boss’ praiseworthy tone seemed to indicate he would be given a shot at starting, priced at 4/6 with Ladbrokes, while it’s 11/10 he doesn’t line-up.

If he does make the team much of the focus will be on the pre-match handshake after he famously swerved Patrice Evra’s outstretched hand over racism accusations, with 9/4 being offered he doesn’t shake hands with all opposition players and 1/3 suggesting he will.

Meanwhile, it’s 8/1 Suarez puts in a man-of-the-match performance, 2/1 that he finds himself going in the referee’s notebook and a 33/1 shot he receives a red card against United.

If Suarez does make it back into the Liverpool team, they’ll be much fascination over what position he will assume, especially in light of the form of Daniel Sturridge.

Therefore, it’s 11/4 he plays as a left-forward, 15/8 he’s on the right-side of the attack, 5/2 he’ll play as the main striker and 11/5 he’ll occupy the role behind a striker.

Where he starts will become a void bet if he does not in fact start (settled based on the live broadcasting formation on SkySports) while a maximum bet of £25 and a maximum win of £100 also applies on any Luis Suarez specials for this match.
