Picking up points from your fellow promoted teams is always seen as a key element of success upon elevation to the Premier League.

Both Hull City and Cardiff City have been handed an early chance to do just that on Saturday afternoon, but for both the fixture is bound to come with some trepidation.

Whilst many would interpret such a meeting between two of the top flight’s new boys as being fairly even, there has in fact just been one winner in the six meetings between newly-promoted clubs in each of the last two Premier League seasons.

Cardiff edged the Championship meetings between the pair last season thanks to a 2-1 victory in the Welsh capital, with Malky Mackay’s men managing to find the net in the final 10 minutes of both fixtures with their forthcoming opponents.

They are 11/1 to score their first away goal of the season in the final 10 minutes of this fixture, with the 9/1 on offer for a 1-0 Cardiff victory another price which warrants attention.
