Fellaini specials offered after completion of Man Utd switch

Since the start of the 2011/12 Premier League season, there has been no player to commit more top-flight fouls than the 176 that have been executed by Marouane Fellaini.

In one sense this could be a benefit for his new club Manchester United as they have arguably been lacking some midfield physicality, but on the other hand, he may miss games because of his zealousness and ill discipline.

Fellaini was booked 11 times last season, but perhaps interestingly for some, he has only been sent off once in his Everton career, which was in a home game with Bolton back in November 2010.

Therefore, 8/11 looks a fine price that he avoids a red card in the Premier League this season for the Red Devils.

Alternatively, it is 7/4 that he is sent off exactly once, 13/2 that he sees red on two occasions and 18/1 that he receives his marching orders on three occasions.

Rather than leaving his team a man down, Fellaini will hope that his bigger contributions will be scoring some goals to fire Man Utd towards a successful defence of their Premier League title, which can be backed at 7/2.

Fellaini netted 11 times at Everton in the last campaign, but given that he was often utilised as a centre forward, repeating this in a midfield role at Old Trafford would be tough.

It is 1/1 that he manages seven Premier League goals or more, although slight preference is for the 8/11 that he scores six or less, as he has in three of the last four campaigns.

Scoring against Everton will be the ultimate kick in the teeth for the club after departing at the end of the window and the price is 2/1 that he is on target in either meeting between Man Utd and the Toffees in the top-flight this season.
