Euro accumulator: Milan and Marseille head-up 9/1 gamble

Published:

Some of European football’s big hitters are getting ready to do battle and we’ve pawed through recent statistics to offer you this accumulator, paying just over 9/1.

Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan appear to be the value bets on paper. But when supplemented by the Ligue 1 double of St. Etienne and Marseille there are tasty odds ready to be snaffled up.

Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Dortmund – Dortmund win @ 1/2

Last season’s Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund have made the perfect start to this campaign.

Winning all three of their league contests so far, scoring seven and conceding only one in return, Jurgen Klopp’s outfit have hit the ground running.

Another major positive to add is the fact that Der BVB have won seven of their last 10 league games away from home.

Compare that with Frankfurt’s one win in their previous five at the Commerzbank-Arena and the picture is complete.

St. Etienne v Bordeaux – St. Etienne win @ 21/20

St. Etienne have made a positive start to the season, collecting six points from three games, and their formidable home form offers plenty of appeal.

Les Verts are unbeaten in their last 11 at the Stade-Geoffroy-Guichard while visiting Bordeaux have failed to win in their previous eight on their travels.

Furthermore, St. Etienne have also only conceded in one of their past five as hosts and they look more than capable of making home advantage count once again.

AC Milan v Cagliari – Milan win @ 2/5

Few onlookers will be looking past anything but three points for Milan in this contest.

The Rosseneri have won each of their previous nine home games against Cagliari and notched up an impressive 13 goals in the last four of those victories.

Cagliari have failed to win any of their last six outings on the road and not even troubled the scoresheet in four of those past encounters.

Marseille v Monaco – Marseille win @ 11/8

The home side are unbeaten against big-spending Monaco in their previous four clashes in all competitions.

And having returned the maximum nine points from their opening trio of Ligue 1 matches they’ll be confident of adding to that haul.

Andre-Pierre Gignac will aim to win the battle of the frontmen with rival Radamel Falcao following his three strikes in as many games.

If the ex-Toulouse striker’s form holds up then a first league defeat of the season could be inflicted upon Claudio Ranieri’s side.
