Di Resta and Sutil can force points double at Monza

Published:

Force India’s Paul di Resta has seen his solid work at the start of the season unfold somewhat over the last three races.

The Brit finished amongst the points in seven of the first eight Grand Prix of the season but fell short in Germany and Hungary and was forced to retire in Belgium last time out.

However, the 27-year-old will be confident of a return to the top 10 in Italy, where he has performed well in the past.

Di Resta’s fledgling career has seen him take to the Monza circuit just twice in a Formula One car but on both occasions the Scottish star has scored, finishing eighth in both 2011 and 2012.

With his Force India being powered by this year’s superior Mercedes engine and Di Resta’s proven track record on this circuit, he certainly tempts at 11/10 to register a top 10 finish again on Sunday.

Di Resta’s Force India team-mate Adrian Sutil has also been enjoying a satisfying campaign thus far after picking up valuable points for the team in four of the last six races, including an impressive ninth-place finish at Spa-Francorchamps last time out.

The 30-year-old German hasn’t exactly set Monza on fire in his career so far, finishing in the points just once in five outings, but the pace he showed when finishing fourth in 2009 shows that when things are going his way he has the ability to mix it with the best at the Autodromo Nazionale.

Fortunately for Sutil – as his recent results show – things are currently going well for the Bavarian and this should lead many to back him to score again at 11/10.

Those looking for better value, however, and confident that both Force India drivers can finish amongst the points, can back Di Resta and Sutil to do just that at 3/1.
