Bale odds-on to watch Arsenal v Spurs kick off from Madrid

Published:

Will Gareth Bale leave Spurs? Which team will he sign for? When will he sign? Will he break the world record transfer fee? What squad number will Bale be given at his new club? Which position will he play? Have Spurs already replaced him?

The questions go on and on relating to Bale, but the latest to be doing the rounds is where he will be when Tottenham kick off their north London derby with Arsenal.

Odds-on in this market is that he will be in Madrid, which can be backed at 10/11. This does not necessarily suggest that he will have signed for Real Madrid by this point, but he could be in the Spanish capital continuing discussions or enjoying the latter stages of what has been a long holiday.

However, those that do believe Bale’s transfer will have gone through may prefer the 6/1 that he is actually in the Bernabeu for the kick off.

The other likely option is that he will still be in London, especially as the derby comes a day before the closing of the transfer window.

10/3 is the price that he is in London, although not inside the Emirates, with 8/1 on offer that he is somewhere else in the UK.

Given that Bale has missed three straight days of training, it is virtually impossible that he will be selected by Andre Villas-Boas to make one final Tottenham appearance.

So the 25/1 that he starts for Tottenham seems best avoided, while the 12/1 he is sat on the Spurs bench as the game kicks off is not much more probable. The 10/1 that he is elsewhere in the Emirates does have a slight appeal though.

Finally, wherever Bale is, 20/1 can be taken advantage of that the Welshman tweets an image of himself watching the fixture at any point during the 90 minutes.
