Away-day destroyers Derby feature in goal crazy treble

Published:

This treble has something of a countryside alliance feeling to it, with the Rams, the Foxes and the Tractor Boys in fine goal-scoring fettle ahead of their respective fixtures.

Derby: Goal Crazy, 2-3 Goals v Bolton @ 15/8

While Derby have faltered at Pride Park at the beginning of this campaign, Nigel Cough’s side have incurred no such problems on the road, becoming the only Championship side to have won all three of their away games to date.

Starting the sequence with an impressive 2-1 win away at Brighton, the free-scoring Rams have now racked up double figures, crushing Yeovil 3-0, before battering Millwall 5-1 on their last outing.

Winless Bolton have conceded five across their last two games.

Leicester: Goal Crazy, 2-3 Goals v Blackburn @ 6/5

Another of the Championship’s Nigels has seen plenty to cheer already this season, as fourth-place Leicester have started very brightly under Nigel Pearson.

A 2-0 win over Wigan at the Walkers Stadium equalled their fourth victory of the campaign from six, while it’s the second home game in a row they’ve hit the net at least twice.

Blackburn were soundly beaten 3-0 in this fixture last season, their third defeat in a row at Leicester, where they’ve not tasted victory in eight meetings with the Foxes.

Ipswich: Goal Crazy, 2-3 Goals v Yeovil @ 23/20

Mick McCarthy’s side ended a three-game winless streak with an emphatic 3-1 triumph over Middlesbrough on their last appearance, their second home victory of the season.

Millwall were also on the end of three goals from Ipswich at Portland Road earlier in the campaign and now freshly promoted Yeovil look ripe for more of the same.

The Glovers meanwhile, have lost four of their last five league matches and have conceded an average of two goals per game in their last five in all competitions.
