Radwanska the big name in our next US Open accumulator win

Published:

Lightning is expected to strike twice here at Ladbrokes News, after our women’s accumulator for day two of the US Open was successful, which included five winning tips.

Our next fivefold is below and pays out at a healthy 8/1, with five women expected to progress to round three in straight sets.

Agnieszka Radwanska to beat Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor 2-0 @ 1/7

Radwanska has only lost one of her last seven matches on hard courts and this was to Serena Williams. She has won the other six in straight sets, with victories over the likes of Elena Vesnina, Sara Errani and Sloane Stephens.

This trio are all far superior to Torro-Flor, who has only won three of her last 10 matches on the surface.

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova to beat Ashleigh Barty 2-0 @ 1/2

Pavlyuchenkova dropped only two games when beating Barty on the hard courts of Kuala Lumpur earlier this year and has been in decent recent form with a victory over Sabine Lisicki in New Haven before pushing Petra Kvitova to three sets.

This is only Barty’s second appearance in the second round of a WTA level hard-court event and only her second match on the surface since her aforementioned defeat to Pavlyuchenkova.

Kaia Kanepi to beat Anna Schmiedlova 2-0 @ 4/5

Schmiedlova has been a regular in the latter stages of challenger events, but this is a big step up and her lack of power is sure to be taken advantage of by Kanepi.

The Estonian needed three sets in the opening round but was let down by only 52 per cent of her first serves going in. Any improvement will make life much easier.

Yaroslava Shvedova to beat Patricia Mayr-Achleitner @ 8/15

Shvedova dropped only one game in making light work of her first-round clash with Olga Puchkova and she failed to give up a single break point despite not serving to a particularly high standard.

This is in contrast to Mayr-Achleitner, who was not a comprehensive winner despite getting a high percentage of first serves in. Shvedova will be a bigger returning threat than Magdalena Rybarikova.

Sorana Cirstea to beat Kurumi Nara @ 8/11

Cirstea may have made life difficult in round one here, but her run to the final of the recent hard-court event in Toronto should not be forgotten, where Caroline Wozniacki, Jelena Jankovic, Kvitova and Na Li were among her victims.

Nara has won seven of her last eight games on a hard surface, but this is by far her biggest test.
