Mirallas capable of being week two Fantasy Football top scorer

Published:

Everton have found the target in all eight home meetings with West Brom this century and this is one reason why Kevin Mirallas could end up as the top Fantasy Football top points scorer from the gameweek two round of fixtures.

Mirallas is an interesting proposition in the game, given that he is one of a rare breed that could be argued as being situated in the wrong position, added as a midfielder despite playing on the right side of a three-pronged attack.

He scored four goals and assisted more for the Toffees in pre-season and at 33/1 he looks a value bet to be top scorer, especially as none of the big guns have obvious fixtures where they can accrue substantial points hauls.

Christian Benteke is the favourite to register the most points at 14/1 and this is justified by the fact he has three goals in his opening two games this season, while helping himself to the same goals from the same appearances against Liverpool in the last campaign.

Like Benteke, the season could not have started much better for Roberto Soldado and he warrants some interest at 22/1 with a home game against Swansea for Tottenham.

For those wanting bigger prices, Newcastle conceded more than most from set pieces last season and with West Ham among the most threatening in the air in the Premier League, some of their defenders could rack up good scores.

James Collins would seem their biggest set-piece threat and his prospects of a good haul of points are boosted by the fact that Newcastle failed to score in either meeting with the Hammers last season, offering the additional opportunity of a clean sheet.
