Double up on Fallon for the final day of Glorious Goodwood

Published:

It’s the last day at Glorious Goodwood and while all eyes will be on Sky Lantern in the Group 1 Nassau Stakes there is plenty of value around West Sussex. In the Stewards Cup Kieran Fallon can defy top weight to bring Hoof It home and the enigmatic Irishman has a great chance on Havana Cooler in the RAC stakes.

2:05 Enroll @ 13/2

Barring a woeful effort last time out at Ascot Michael Stoute’s filly has the best form in this field by far and with the drop back in trip sure to suit her Ryan Moore will fancy his chances of another win.

2:40 Havana Cooler NAP @ 5/1

Trainer Luca Cumani loves a Goodwood Handicap and Havana Cooler looks primed to land this renewal having performed well all season under Kieran Fallon. The former Ballydoyle jockey rates this horse his best chance of the week so we should all take note.

3:50 Hoof It @ 16/1

The 2011 winner disappointed at York over 5f, but this is definitely his best trip and with Kieran Fallon back in board he stands a good chance from a decent draw here.

Trainer Mick Easterby has persevered with the 6-year-old despite problems with fitness over the last couple of years and if he can show anything like the Group 1 form of past seasons then this field will struggle to keep up.

4:25 Beach Bar @ 33/1

There isn’t much form to speak of coming into this 2yo maiden so at big odds Beach Bar is the pick to break his duck. Goodwood local William Knight has two runners in this race with Allergic Reaction lining up alongside his stable mate, but with Neil Callan onboard Beach Bar looks to be his best chance and could go well at a price.
