Perez looking to return to point-scoring ways in Germany

After F1 courted attention for the wrong reasons in Britain, the teams and personnel nip over to Germany eager for the racing to be the centre of attention this time round.
With several tyre failures during the weekend, suppliers Pirelli have been allowed to make changes to their equipment by the FIA, which could shake up the order at the famous Nurburgring.
And with a host of teams scrapping for points behind the likes of Red Bull, Mercedes and Ferrari, there is plenty of value to be had in the points finish market.
One man who could prove a reliable choice is Force India’s Paul di Resta.
The Scot has been a constant factor in the upper half of the grid, finishing ninth or higher in every race bar one this season.
A price of 1/3 for a top-10 finish represents good value for such a consistent racer, who is enjoying the best form of his career so far.
McLaren’s Sergio Perez is better than evens at 5/4 for a points finish after a dismal couple of races in Canada and Britain, where he suffered two punctures.
The Mexican could easily have scored points at Silverstone. He ran in the top-10 for large parts of race – briefly as high as fourth – before his left-rear tyre shredded itself late on.
An outside shot could be Valtteri Bottas, who showed his quality by qualifying third in Canada.
The Finnish rookie has impressed many in the paddock in a difficult Williams car, finishing just outside the points in 11th in Britain.
Team-mate Pastor Maldonado has said this year’s FW35 suits Bottas better, and with both drivers at 9/2 to score the team’s first points of the year in Germany, it’s the Finn who seems the more likely to do so.
