Murray in straight sets and Kubot with handicap lead Wimbledon bets

It has certainly been a successful Wimbledon for the nation of Poland, with Agnieszka Radwanska already in the women’s semi finals and either of Jerzy Janowicz or Lukasz Kubot certain to join her in the men’s draw.

This match is tough to call and all that can be guaranteed is that there will be a stream of 120mph serves, while Andy Murray will be heavily fancied to maintain some home interest against Fernando Verdasco in another quarter final.

Murray is rightfully a hefty favourite to reach the semi finals at Wimbledon for a fifth consecutive year and has triumphed in eight of his last nine matches with Verdasco.

Verdasco is not the biggest server in any case and the fact that he has not topped 70 per cent for a first serve percentage in any of his four matches thus far is a worry against a returner of Murray’s ability.

Whoever wins the first set, 8/13 is fair value that it witnesses over 9.5 total games.

Lukasz Kubot (-5.5 games) to beat Jerzy Janowicz @ 1/1

Finding a bet to leave us Pole dancing has not proved easy in this clash, as both are big servers and have no proven pedigree at this stage of a Grand Slam.

The pair served 42 aces between them in their respective five-set fourth round matches and which gets the greater percentage of first serves in is likely to have the upper hand.

It is hard to foresee breaks of serve being frequent here, while it would be no surprise to see them involved in another marathon.

In fact, Kubot has only given up 13 break points at Wimbledon thus far in reaching this stage.

Therefore, the 4/9 that there is a tie-break at some point in the match is virtually impossible to oppose, but greater profit can be made by backing Kubot with a handicap start of 5.5 games.

Kubot could technically lose in three sets but still land this bet if there is at least one tie-break, while as long as he wins one set, he should cover this line.
