Huybrechts to defeat Wright and Painter to hit the maximums

All eyes will be on Phil Taylor as he bids to defend his title on day two of the World Matchplay.

There will not be too much interest from a betting perspective though with the Power 1/10 on to beat Stuart Kellett . However, there are plenty of other matches which provide some attractive betting opportunities, including this 7/1 four-fold.

Kim Huybrechts v Peter Wright – Kim Huybrechts 8/11

These two have faced each other four times before and Kim Huybrechts has come out on top every time.

Their most recent encounter came this year, with Huybrechts eliminating Wright 6-4 in the last 16 of the recent PDC European Tour event in Gibraltar.

Snakebite has been in decent form this year though, winning the Players Championship 5 tournament, but it is impossible to oppose Huybrechts who boasts a better 2013 win percentage, three dart average and throws more 180s than the Englishman.

Kevin Painter v Jamie Lewis – Kevin Painter to throw more 180s 11/10

After two defeats against Kevin Painter, 21-year-old Jamie Lewis registered his first win over The Artist on the PDC European tour this year in a 6-5 thriller.

It is impossible to write off Lewis, who has beaten Colin Osborne, Robert Thornton and Adrian Lewis this year and looks set for stardom.

However, his three dart scoring is relatively low and he has been scoring only one 180 on average per game this year. Instead he relies on his impeccable check-outs, which are on average around the 118 mark.

Painter, whose average check-out is only 71.3 is a much heavier scorer and has been throwing more than double the amount of 180s Lewis has been this year.

Dave Chisnall v Paul Nicholson – Dave Chisnall to throw more 180s 1/3

There has been nothing to separate these two in recent encounters, with the head-to-head currently standing at three matches apiece.

2012 Players Championship winner Dave Chisnall warrants favouritism on the basis that he is in good form this year, with his three-dart average and the number of 180s he throws at a career-high.

Paul Nicholson can not be written off though. The Asset has already finished runner-up in two major PDC events this year but relies on good check-outs rather than strong scoring.

Chizzy has been averaging four180s per game in 2013 compared to Nicholson’s 2.6. Expect a close encounter but Chisnall to hit the maximums more often.

Justin Pipe v Mark Webster – Mark Webster +2.5 legs 4/6

Justin Pipe leads the head-to-head 7-5 with the most recent encounter a 6-1 victory over Webby in the Champions League of Darts group stage.

However, meetings between these two are usually a lot closer and in the previous four encounters no more than two legs have separated them in any one match.

Interestingly, this is not the only occasion Pipe has beaten Webster 6-1, with Pipe registering the same result in the 2011 UK Players Championship. The next time Webster faced him, he won 6-5.
