French Open accumulator: Tsonga heads over 3/1 fourfold in Paris
Published:Jo-Wilfried Tsonga leads a quadruple French Open accumulator that pays out at more than 3/1 on Sunday’s action.
Nicolas Almagro, Agnieszka Radwanska and Samantha Stosur make up the grand slam fourfold, across both the men’s and women’s singles draw.
The main talking point from the tournament so far has been Rafael Nadal’s assertions that the schedule of the French Open this year is ‘unfair’ and ‘a joke’.
But the action continues on Sunday, with three fourth round and one third round ties included in our acca.
Tsonga is priced at just 1/8 on to beat Viktor Troicki, but considering some of the ungenerous odds for players like Roger Federer and Serena Williams then the Frenchman is worth incorporating.
The 28-year-old world number eight should easily dispatch Troicki (57) having overcome compatriot Jeremy Chardy in straight sets in the previous round.
Also worth supporting in the men’s side of things is Spaniard Almagro, who faces his fellow countryman Tommy Robredo.
Almagro (13) is ranked 21 places higher than Robredo (34), and at 1/4 looks a good bet to negotiate his way into the quarter-finals.
In the women’s, Radwanska should be able to see off the competition of Ana Ivanovic in their fourth round meeting.
Radwanska (4), who finished runner up at Wimbledon last year, has never gone further than this stage of the French Open in her career but at 8/11 she should triumph against Ivanovic (14).
Samantha Stosur’s third round clash with Jelena Jankovic offers the Australian the chance to make the last 16, with the potential of going one further than her final appearance in the competition three years ago.
Serbian Jankovic is the younger of the two, but her 18th world ranking doesn’t match Stosur’s current top ten position in ninth.
And at 8/11, Stosur should be relied upon to overcome the triple French Open semi-finalist in Paris.
