Ladbrokes top price on Man Utd being Ronaldo’s next club

Published:

With only two years remaining on his current Real Madrid contract, Cristiano Ronaldo’s value in the transfer market will only continue to diminish if he refuses to extend his deal at the Bernabeu.

The talk within Madrid is that they are willing to keep him for the two years either way as his value to the club in this period is worth far more than any transfer sum they could demand, but a sufficient offer may change their mindset.

And Ladbrokes are offering a top price of 2/1 that Ronaldo’s next club will be a return to Manchester United.

It is no secret that Ronaldo feels underappreciated at Real Madrid, which is not something that can certainly be said of his time at Old Trafford. His reception on his first return to the ground for the second leg of the Champions League last-16 clash is liable to be deafening.

PSG are second in the betting to be Ronaldo’s next club at 9/2, but this is more likely to be because they can afford a hefty transfer fee over any desire of the player to move there.

Manchester City are 6/1 in this market, with Bayern Munich interesting at 12/1.

Before Ronaldo departs Madrid though, he will at least play out this season and attempt to dump his old club out of the Champions League.

There are rumours that Ronaldo will start in the centre forward position rather than his usual spot off the left and he is 7/2 to score the opener and 4/5 to net at any time in the 90 minutes.

Alternatively, it is 5/1 that he repeats his goal of the first leg by scoring a header, 10/1 he converts a free-kick or 16/1 that he helps himself to a hat-trick.
