Ladbrokes bet that Tiger hasn’t changed his stripes

After going public with new flame Lindsey Vonn, Ladbrokes are offering 2/1 that Tiger Woods marries the American Olympic skiing champion.

But with a range of markets available regarding Woods’ love life, we favour the possibility that the legendary golfer’s ways haven’t changed all that much.

It is 7/4 that Woods is spotted with another woman during his relationship with 28-year-old Vonn, who is nine years his junior.

And given his past discretions, that price could shorten significantly in a short space of time.

Indeed, over a dozen women claimed to have had affairs with Woods prior to his divorce from ex-wife Elin Nordegren, and punters who feel he hasn’t altered his lifestyle in the past three-and-a-half years will lap up those 7/4 odds.

For the odds to be justified, publicised pictures must emerge of the golfer holding hands/on a date/or otherwise engaged with another woman whilst committed to Vonn.

Meanwhile, punters seem to feel that the emergence of a new woman in his life will aid Tiger to once again participate effectively on the golf course.

Since the public announcement of his latest relationship, Ladbrokes have seen a 200 per cent increase in stakes on Woods to triumph at the upcoming Arnold Palmer Invitational.

He is 3/1 favourite for that tournament, whilst he also leads the betting for this year’s US Masters, as a 5/1 shot to wear the green blazer for a fifth time in 2013.

And perhaps those who feel Tiger’s game will improve in Vonn’s presence will take advantage of one of the stranger special betting opportunities available regarding Woods.

16/1 is the price that the 14-time Major winner gets down on one knee and pops the question on a putting green at any Major golf championship.

A more settled personal life could very well lead to improved performances in his profession, and so perhaps the best odds to follow are Woods’ in upcoming golf tournaments.

All Odds and Markets are correct as of the date of publishing.
