Fellaini and Walters two to keep onside in Fantasy Football

We were mighty close in picking out Romelu Lukaku to top the Fantasy Football points charts in gameweek 27, as his two goals in West Brom’s victory over Sunderland helped him collect 12 points for a spot in the team of the week.

Unfortunately Maynor Figueroa helped himself to a goal, assist and clean sheet in Wigan’s win at Reading for a 17-point haul.

And it may be best to target Reading again in gameweek 28 in the hope of finding a player to enjoy a productive week for points.

Everton host Reading and Marouane Fellaini has already scored double-figure points on six occasions this season.

He is not a certainty to play because of a foot injury, but 20/1 is a big price that he contributes the most points.

It is Manchester United players that head the Fantasy Football betting, but with their far more important Champions League return date with Real Madrid upcoming in midweek, squad rotation can almost be banked upon from Sir Alex Ferguson.

Given that he picked up a knock against QPR, it is pretty much guaranteed that Robin van Persie will be given the game off, meaning he has to be opposed at 8/1.

Javier Hernandez is the obvious benefactor of this decision and at 18/1 he is a shortlist candidate.

Although, Man Utd have not scored more than twice against Norwich in 10 showdowns since the inaugural Premier League season and two Hernandez goals is unlikely to earn him enough points to accrue the most points this week.

Luis Suarez scored twice against Wigan earlier in the season and no team has conceded more home goals than the Latics all season.

This gives some credence to Suarez’ chances of a strong week and he can be backed at 16/1.

Gareth Bale is another at 16/1, but his run of amazing form has to dry up at some point.

Of those at bigger prices, West Ham have conceded 13 times in their last four away games and although Stoke are hardly prolific in front of goal, this could be a rare week where their fortunes change.

Jon Walters has pretty much done nothing in 2013 to date, but he is prone to the odd high-scoring week.

Walters is 50/1 to gain the most points in week 28.
