Tuesday accumulator: Look to home sides to turn midweek profit

Ladbrokes punters have plenty of midweek football action to sink their teeth into this week, with a vast array of European and domestic fixtures scheduled.

And we focus on league fixtures for our accumulator, where we believe our selection of home sides across the Championship, League One and League Two can return at over 20/1.

Hull are our opening selection, as we confide in them to justify 10/11 favouritism to overcome Derby at the KC Stadium.

But for indifferent recent form which includes only two wins from their last five games, Hull would be a much shorter price to triumph.

The visit of Derby represents a perfect chance for them to re-ignite their promotion bid however, with the Tigers winning four of the past five meetings between the sides.

Steve Bruce’s men are strong on their own turf too, and with their eight home wins matching up with County’s eight defeats on the road, the hosts can prevail here.

We turn to League One next, where 21/20 shots Yeovil entertain a Preston side in dismal form.

Town won the only previous Huish Park meeting of the pair 2-1 last season, and the play-off contenders will fancy their chances of another positive result here.

PNE look devoid of confidence, and it is difficult to envisage them preventing what would be a sixth defeat in seven matches.

And our final two selections stem from League Two, where relegation-threatened Aldershot can prove the victims of a Morecambe backlash, after their surprising weekend loss to Exeter.

The Shrimpers, 23/20 for the win, have been inconsistent at the Globe Arena this term, but have never lost a home game against Aldershot, winning six of their eight meetings.

Factor in the Shots’ five-match winless streak heading into this fixture, and Jim Bentley’s outfit look poised to bring up the third leg of our accumulator.

We then turn to Wycombe to round off our four-fold, as Gareth Ainsworth’s ever-improving side welcome Carling Cup finalists Bradford to Adams Park.

The Chairboys are 6/4 to triumph, a price which seems far too generous considering they have won each of their last three games, and five of their last six.

In their much-publicised visitors, they face a team that whilst heroic in cup competition, have been far less so in league action.

Indeed, Bradford haven’t won a league outing in six attempts, and their only win from nine in all competitions was that famous Valley Parade success over Aston Villa.
