European Acca: Bayern to nil heads our fivefold worth 26/1

Published:

The unstoppable force that is Bayern Munich head up our 26/1 European football fivefold this weekend, with a very fair 9/10 saying they’ll beat Hoffenheim without conceding a goal.

Bayern to beat Hoffenheim to nil @ 9/10

A 1-0 win over their ‘closest’ Bundesliga rivals, Dortmund, in midweek represented FC Hollywood’s ninth win on the bounce, seven of which have come without concession. This incredible run has seen Manuel Neuer beaten just twice and the best chance Hoffenheim have of finding a way past him here is if he falls asleep resting on the post.

The relegation-threatened side have lost three straight ahead of Bayern’s visit, scoring just once.

Lyon to beat Brest @ 10/11

Two wins and seven goals scored have seen Lyon wrestle second spot in Ligue 1 away from Marseille and they’ll be in good spirits ahead of a trip to lower mid-table Brest. The hosts aren’t bad on their own patch, winning five of 12, but have lost four and drawn one of their last six games; hardly the electric form that screams banana skin for Champions League-chasing OL.

Kortrikj to beat Cercle Bruges @ 4/5

Cercle are rock-bottom of the Belgian big league and are on a seven-match losing run after defeat to their city rivals Club in their last outing. Although the league season is nothing more of a going through the motions for the hosts here, expect them to heap more misery on the outbound Bruges unit.

Udinese to beat Pescara @ 6/5

A season ruined by inconsistency is destined to end in mid-table nothingness, but Udinese are still generously priced to beat hapless Pescara.

True, they haven’t won in four away attempts, losing three of them, but there’s no better place to snap that streak than the Stadio Adriatico. Giovanni Stroppa’s Pescara have lost six and drawn seven – with Palermo, the only Serie A side worse than them this season – of their previous eight outings. They haven’t scored a home goal that wasn’t a penalty in three, to boot.

Lille to beat Bordeaux @ 17/20

The side from the northern-most reaches of France have a surprisingly strong home record for a team loitering in mid-table. Only one league game has resulted in the opposition taking the points back south since PSG beat them in September of last year.

Furthermore, since Bordeaux won an enthralling 5-4 dust up last term, they hadn’t won in Lille since the 2002/03 season.
