Two games means Walcott fancied to be top fantasy football scorer

Chelsea’s double gameweek in the last round of Fantasy Football fixtures rightly helped four of their players make the top-scoring team of the week and it is Arsenal that may find themselves in a similar position this time.

Eden Hazard led the scoring ranks with a 19-point haul following goals against both Stoke and Southampton and he is 28/1 to prove the competition’s star man again.

However, with just the one game this week, a home clash with Arsenal, it will be tough for Chelsea players to contribute heavily.

Instead, it is Arsenal who profit from a double gameweek this time, with their rearranged Boxing Day home game with West Ham also taking place.

With Theo Walcott categorised as a midfielder in the game, the fact that there is a strong prospect of him playing centre forward opens up extra point-scoring abilities.

Walcott is 12/1 to be the top Fantasy Football points scorer in gameweek 23, with fellow Gunners Santi Cazorla (16/1) and Lukas Podolski (18/1) prominent in the betting.

The only player breaking the Arsenal dominance is Luis Suarez and this is with good reason as Liverpool host Norwich.

Suarez has netted hat-tricks in each of his last two clashes with Norwich, with his treble in gameweek six worth 20 points to Fantasy Football owners.

But it has been midfielders that have predominantly been top scorers in the last two months so Michu and David Silva offer some appeal at bigger prices.

Michu is 22/1 with Swansea hosting Stoke, who have been defensively feeble of late, while Silva is 33/1 as Manchester City could run up a cricket score at home to Fulham.

A contribution of goals and assists from Silva will see him rack up the points, alongside benefiting from a probable bonus for star man.
