Latest Mancini spat makes it odds-on Balotelli departs Man City

Published:

Mario Balotelli has not played for Manchester City since the derby defeat to Manchester United in early December and images from the training ground suggest that he may never wear the club colours again.

A bust up with manager Roberto Mancini, said to be caused by a late Balotelli challenge in training, required numerous coaches to prize apart the duo.

Balotelli quickly left training and it is now just 8/11 that he departs for pastures new in January, with 1/1 the price that he stays at the reigning Premier League champions.

It is not the first time that Balotelli has upset and frustrated his manager, with situations in the past including setting off fireworks which set his house on fire and throwing darts at youth team players.

However, which clubs would be prepared to take on the whole package of Mario Balotelli is a major talking point.

He is clearly talented and could prove a productive loan proposition for a club like Arsenal, although Arsene Wenger will be obviously reluctant to take on the troublemaker.

Balotelli needs a manager willing to put an arm around his shoulder and there are not many better in this regard than Harry Redknapp, with QPR desperate for additional strikers in their squad.

Meanwhile, Sam Allardyce successfully dealt with El-Hadji Diouf and Nicolas Anelka at Bolton when both had their troublesome ways.

Taking Balotelli to West Ham is an interesting possibility and could be a beneficial move for both parties.

The other option for Balotelli is a switch to AC Milan, who have been regularly linked with the Italian in the past year.
