Championship Accumulator: Blackpool head 15/1 treble

Published:

This week’s Championship multiple sees us pick three on-song early birds to continue their winning ways and entitle backers to a 15/1 payout.

Wigan to beat Bournemouth @ 21/20

The Cherries marked their opening Championship game with an important win over Charlton at Dean Court, but were sent rocketing back down to earth by title favourites Watford in a 6-1 walloping last time out.

Wigan are equipped with a far stronger squad than the Hornets and can easily run amok on the south coast here after showing their class at Barnsley on the opening day where they won 4-0.

Leeds to beat Sheffield Wednesday @ 11/10

Brian McDermott’s first season at the Leeds helm has started positively with successive 2-1 home wins in league and cup, while a credible draw was obtained away at Leicester.

They take this good form into a tie with their local rivals who they have got the better of in seven of their latest nine dust ups.

Wednesday’s home defeat to Burnley was their third 2-1 reverse in succession this season and they’ve already suffered at the hands of a Yorkshire foe when Rotherham dispatched them from the Capital One Cup.

Their poor run is certain to continue at Elland Road.

Blackpool to beat Middlesbrough @ 5/2

After many tipped up the Tangerines to struggle in this season’s Championship, Paul Ince’s men have started the campaign in solid style.

An ejection from the Capital One Cup from arch-nemeses Preston won’t be too much of a concern, especially when they sandwiched it with victories over potential basement rivals Barnsley and, more impressively, away at Doncaster.

They have an excellent recent record against Boro, winning two and drawing one of their most recent four visits to Teesside.

Tony Mowbray’s side struggled past a hopeless Charlton team at the Valley last time out, but those thinking this is going to spur them on to string some results together are in for a disappointment.

If Blackpool apply themselves correctly, they can inflict Boro’s third home defeat of the season upon them this season already.
