The Warrior is ready to rumble in quarter-final date with Wade

Wes Newton is brimming with confidence after easing into the last eight of the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship.
Newton set up a quarter-final showdown with third seed James Wade after brushing aside Mark Walsh 4-1 on Thursday afternoon in the third round.
The Lancastrian is a 12/1 shot to win the prestigious tournament outright and is targeting a place in the semi-finals for the first time in his career.
And Newton has the belief to reach the personal milestone at Ally Pally and is 11/10 to get the better of Wade on Saturday night.
“I feel I’ve got the game to go a lot further,” said Newton in an exclusive interview with Ladbrokes.
“I feel like I’ve been playing really well coming into this tournament. I showed what I can do a little bit in the second round.
“When you go home for a Christmas break and I’ve got a young family like I have, it’s hard. I came back here and it feels like I’m starting again from the first round onwards.
“I’m through the break now and I’ve got to put that behind me and it’s time for me to just get my head down and focus on what I can do.”
Ranked sixth in the PDC world rankings, Newton is also hoping to secure a place in next year’s Premier League, which starts in Belfast in February.
He added: “I’d give my left arm to be in the Premier League – not my right, just my left!
“It’s where we all want to be. I think I was a little bit unlucky not to get in last year, but I’m trying not to think about it too much.
“If I do really well here, the Premier League will look after itself. I’m number six in the world, so I’m not that far away.
“I’ve just got to get my head down, do what I can do and if I do that I won’t be too far away.”
While Newton prepares to face Wade, Walsh cannot wait to see the back of 2012.
Walsh admitted: “This has been the worst season ever for me on the circuit.
“I haven’t performed. There’s so much quality in the PDC that you soon get found out when you’re playing bad, and that’s what happened to me [on Thursday].
“Hopefully, next year, I’ll start doing the business and start performing again.”
