The Ladbrokes World Darts Championship returns today after a three-day Christmas break – and we’re bringing you comprehensive coverage of all the action from Ally Pally in the first of our special live blogs.

Phil Taylor and Andy Hamilton booked a safe passage through to the quarter-finals on Sunday and will now face each other on Friday, with the latter a 3/1 shot to cause an upset.

Who will join the duo in the next round?

The rest of the line-up for the last eight will be decided today over the course of six intriguing third-round encounters that culminates with current world champion Adrian Lewis against Kevin Painter.
