Nobody would knock an extra £1,000 in the coffers with Christmas coming; imagine the turkey you could buy with that sort of cash. Well, if you pick the correct scores in each of the following five Premier League games, Ladbrokes will make your wildest poultry dreams come true by depositing a cool grand in your bank account and, to sweeten the deal, entry is free.

Punters have to ‘like’ the Ladbrokes fan page on Facebook to be able to enter and those using a computer can do so at the following page https://buzz.mw/-dMs_Z, while mobile users should visit https://ngx.me/h8kngjjd.

The games are as follows: Arsenal v West Brom, Aston Villa v Stoke, Southampton v Reading, Sunderland v Chelsea and Swansea v Norwich.

Our input hasn’t proved too fruitful in recent weeks, but we’re throwing it out there anyway.

Arsenal v West Brom

Will this be the game the Gunners finally get their act together?

Their showing against Swansea indicated nothing other than doom and gloom for the forseeable, but the Baggies have stuttered of late with two losses on the bounce to offer some encouragement to Arsene Wenger and his beleaguered charges.

Arsenal often shine when the chips are down and they don’t get much lower than this.

Verdict: 2-1 Arsenal

Aston Villa v Stoke

The Potters are improving week on week. They’ve conceded just two goals in their last five games and, with Villa far from prolific, Tony Pulis’ men can give the Villans a fright here.

Villa have been resurgent of late, however, and have managed to pick up some good results. In Christian Benteke they have a real handful up top and his tussles with Stoke’s burly back four will make for entertaining viewing.

Both sides will score but won’t be separated.

Verdict: 1-1

Southampton v Reading

Our weekly relegation six-pointer takes place at St Mary’s and we reckon the Royals are going to steal a march on the Saints.

Their defending is suspect at the best of times, as their seven-goal thriller with Manchester United last week will attest, but Southampton’s is no better so they’ll have opportunities to get on the scoresheet.

If Reading can tighten up at the back they can nick this one.

Verdict: 1-2 Reading

Sunderland v Chelsea

Two sides struggling for form meet at the Stadium of Light but the Blues fantastic record in this fixture make them the better bet.

Rafa Benitez finally got his Chelsea reign up and running against Nordsjaelland and confidence should be high ahead of their trip to Wearside where his side have won seven on the spin.

Both sides struggle for goals but expect the visitors to shade it.

Verdict: 0-1 Chelsea

Swansea v Norwich

Two of the Premier League’s form sides collide at the Liberty Stadium but it’s difficult to oppose the free-flowing Swans taking the spoils.

They cruised to a win at the Emirates last time out and, even though Norwich are eight games undefeated, they will do well to live with their slick passing and clever movement in the final third. They’ve arguably got the signing of the season up top in Michu and should he get a chance he’ll be putting it away.

Verdict: 2-1 Swansea
