They’ve not won any of their last three games and stand little chance of repeating the feat they achieved when beating Hull 3-1 at the Walkers Stadium earlier in the season.

Blackpool to beat Huddersfield @ 11/8

Michael Appleton tasted defeat for the first time since he took over as Blackpool boss against Wolves last weekend but the dire straits in which Huddersfield currently find themselves provide his side with the perfect opportunity to bounce back with a win.

The Terriers have not picked up maximum points from any of the previous seven outings and are sinking like a stone towards the foot of the Championship table.

In addition to this, they’ve conceded at least two goals in each of their last four at home. With the Tangerines renown for their attacking prowess you’ve got to fancy them to carve Huddersfield up time and again at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Cardiff to beat Crystal Palace @ 5/6

The Bluebird’s flawless home record was blemished in the most unexpected of circumstances when Peterborough won at St David’s Stadium last time out, but that will have no bearing on the Welsh club’s ability to take all three points here.

They showed excellent character to beat Leicester in their previous game and only one win in six could indicate the wheels are finally coming off for Ian Holloway’s high-flying Eagles.

Palace squandered a winning position for the third time in succession against Huddersfield at the weekend in a game that brought up a hat-trick of stalemates. The season of goodwill seems to be having a big impact on the Selhurst Park side and Cardiff will be all too happy to capitalise against their promotion rivals here.

Bolton to beat Sheffield Wednesday @ 3/4

The Owls snapped a seven-game losing run by beating Barnsley a week ago and followed that up with another three points at home to Charlton. It was their second win to nil on the bounce and ensures they head to Bolton in high spirits.

Dougie Freedman’s men have only won twice in their last nine attempts and are in desperate need of a strong Christmas if they are to stay in touch with those leading the race for play-off qualification.

Having notched a total of eight goals in their last three outings, there have been undoubted positives for Freedman to build on and if they produce the same sort of ruthlessness here they’ll overcome Wednesday.
