Tulisa and other X Factor judges must accept their role in final five

Published:

We were correct with our belief that Ella Henderson may be in trouble on the X Factor and her slightly surprising elimination has resulted in Jahmene Douglas going odds-on for the first time at 5/6 for overall victory.

However, it may be worth taking a punt on one of the outsiders as this year is more wide open than any other previously.

The openness of the show also means that it is nigh on impossible to predict who will be in the bottom two, although having Ella battle with James Arthur in the sing-off may have finally opened the eyes of the judges.

Many have been hypocritical throughout the series, none more so than Tulisa after Ella was found to be in the bottom two.

She has previously stated when sending Kye Sones home that she opted to save Rylan Clark because she looked forward to seeing him perform more each week.

Yet this week she classed the voting as “ridiculous” and that the wrong people are being voted for when the likes of Rylan and Christopher Maloney were saved by the public, leaving Ella and James in the bottom two.

It cannot be an entertainment show one week when the best singer gets sent home of a selected duo and then a farce another week when the so-called joke act remains at the expense of another talented singer.

There is no doubt that Ella and James should be two of the finalists if the X Factor was indeed a singing show, but the days are long gone when this was the case.

What may now happen is that the judges judge based on singing ability in the sing-off, meaning that James and Jahmene will almost certainly be safe if in the bottom two against one of the other three quarter-finalists next week. next week.

Meanwhile, even the public may have a slight change of approach when deciding on who to vote for.

But Rylan continues to entertain and is the reason many tune in each week, teenage girls are arguably the biggest voters of any specific group, which is good news for Union J, while the Christopher bandwagon keeps turning over.

James is entitled to the rebound vote this week, while Jahmene has been backed into odds-on to win the show.

Union J are the only act that can be ruled out as winners, but reaching the final is possible, so any insight into what will happen this week is much appreciated in the comments section below.

Rylan going out when in the bottom two does look most likely, but James against Jahmene cannot be ruled out based on the way this series of X Factor has developed.
