Published:There is little argument to the Rock’s claim that he is the most electrifying man in sports entertainment history and he could add light entertainment to this slogan if appearing in the next edition of I’m A Celebrity.
The former WWE wrestler and current movie star has so far rubbished claims as ‘garbage’ that he is to give up Hollywood for a stint in the reality TV show in Australia.
However, the final line-up is far from confirmed and money may talk if he is offered enough to participate. The Rock must have previously promised to “finally come back to Australia” too.
The Rock, who also goes by his real name of Dwayne Johnson, is 8/1 in the early I’m A Celebrity betting and he would almost certainly be the most popular on the show should he take part.
Meanwhile, punters should not worry taking this price, as if he does decline to take part, the bet is void.
The Rock was never afraid to bring a guitar to the ring in his WWE days and provide the audience with some interesting renditions of both existing and made-up songs.
Repeating this around the camp fire could be one of the highlights of I’m A Celebrity, while other contestants would potentially also get the chance to finally “smell what The Rock is cooking”.
Former British heavyweight boxing champion David Haye is another of the rumoured celebrities in line to take part and this pair could also have some interesting chemistry.
Haye is 11/2 to win, with former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan the early favourite at 11/4.
She is guaranteed to be popular with male voters and is expected to provide the bikini moments that have become connected with each edition, following the likes of Myleene Klaas and Jessica-Jane Clement previously.
