Norwich v Stoke: Expect this on last on Match Of The Day

Published:

Stoke travelling to Norwich doesn’t provide much inspiration and is not a game that will need too much of an excuse to occupy the last spot on Match Of The Day.

Only the promise of goals will see it allocated more time, but unfortunately the best bet on offer for punters appears to be the 4/6 that under 2.5 goals are scored at Carrow Road.

Goals were somewhat minimal in this fixture last season, with only three goals scored across the two meetings, while Norwich have only scored three goals in total in their last six encounters with Stoke.

Meanwhile, under 2.5 goals has come up trumps in six of Norwich’s nine fixtures this season and seven of those involving Stoke.

Tony Pulis’ men do not win away from home all that often in the Premier League, but 17/10 seems a worthy price that they leave Norwich with maximum points.

Some punters may feel that Norwich have embarked on a mini revival of late, but it was a goalkeeping error that allowed them to beat Arsenal, while they struggled to make an extra man count against Aston Villa.

Stoke have been largely consistent, keeping three clean sheets in their last four games, with the one exception excusably being at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

Another clean sheet beckons here at 12/5, while there seems some value in the away win to nil at 10/3.

Further value may be on offer in a 1-0 Stoke success at 15/2 to bring these elements together, while punters may be better expecting this goal to arrive early.

Only two of Stoke’s eight Premier League goals this season have arrived after the interval and 7/2 is the price that they are ahead at both half time and full time.
