Brian O’Driscoll’s men suffered a massive shock losing 4-1 at home to Millwall but recovered to halt Middlesbrough’s six-match winning streak last time out. They couldn’t get the better of the Boro, but managed to contain them with a 0-0 draw and were perhaps unlucky not to steal it at the death.

Prior to the Millwall defeat, they’d won three from four and have goals in abundance with Billy Sharp and Simon Cox up top. This is something they lacked in their previous four visits to the King Power Stadium where they failed to find the net.

The Foxes got a bit of a nosebleed after hitting the Championship’s summit a few weeks back and have not won in three, losing twice. Forest’s flowing football can heap more misery on Nigel Pearson’s well-drilled regiment here.

Blackburn to beat Birmingham @ 1/1

Birmingham’s stuttering fortunes under Lee Clark continue with two wins either side of a home defeat to Ipswich.
They’ve been unable to record successive victories all season, while Rovers are still searching for a first win under Henning Berg.

An injury-time equaliser denied them at Huddersfield, yet his first home game in charge could see him break his duck.

They’ve won their previous two at Ewood Park by a solitary goal to nil and the Blues are the sort of struggling opponent Berg would wish to face as looks to get off the mark quickly. However, he should be wary of the fact that Clark’s side have only failed to score just once in eight away days.

Millwall to beat Derby @ 23/20

Although five of these games were drawn, Millwall prepare to host Derby on the back of an eight-game unbeaten run. They’ve kicked it up a notch in recent weeks with eight goals scored and just one conceded in their last three games; you’ve got to fear for the Rams here.

Nigel Clough’s men are far from out of sorts, winning three from four and losing just one of their last four on the road, but they have faced weaker outfits than the promotion contenders the Lions have despatched of late and their odds-against price is too tempting to refuse.

Huddersfield to beat Barnsley @ 8/5

This Yorkshire derby is expected to swing the way of the visiting Terriers. This is based on the fact that Barnsley have lost three on the spin and haven’t tasted the sweet juices of victory at Oakwell since beating Bristol City on the opening day of September.

Since their talisman Craig Davies suffered a long-term injury they’ve really struggled for goals which will buoy a Huddersfield side who have shipped seven in their last two on the road and they have the firepower in their ranks to cause Barnsley more home woes here.
