Braga v Man United: Hard to look past a second helping of goals

Man United can ensure their place in the knockout-phase of the Champions League if they can beat Braga at the picturesque Estadio AXA.

The Red Devils are priced very generously given their electrifying form in October which showed no signs of ceasing as they cruised to a win over Arsenal. They can be backed at 6/5 to win here, while a shock three points for the home team is available at 9/4 and the draw is at 23/10.

Braga have won their last four home meetings with English clubs without conceding a goal, beating the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool in that run. It’s difficult to imagine Man United falling into this bracket given their great form and they’ll be boosted by the fact they’re unbeaten in four visits to Portugal, dating back seven years.

The sides played out a thriller at Old Trafford a fortnight ago, with Braga falling short in a 3-2 defeat after taking a two-goal lead after 20 minutes played.

If there was any doubt before, this proved that they’ve got a goal in their locker. Only two sides have kept them quiet this term, the last of those blanks coming eight games ago. On the other hand, United have kept just one clean sheet all term and failed to notch only on the first day of the season.

If you’re going to bet on this game, make sure it’s on both teams to score which doesn’t look too bad at 8/13.

Another strong bet with good potential is the 6/5 that says Braga will take the lead in this game. Man United have gone behind in eight of their 15 games this term, including two from three in the Champions League and the hosts will fancy their chances if they can apply some early pressure.

Assuming they’ll stick to the same game plan that brought them some joy in the final-third, the 5/1 that says the hosts will open the scoring in the first 15 minutes has wings, while both teams to score with Man United winning can also be profitable at 10/3.
