Vettel backed to win Korean Grand Prix to complete Far East treble

A victory for Sebastian Vettel in the Korean Grand Prix will ensure he completes a memorable treble and take him to the brink of another in terms of a hat-trick of Formula One world titles.

Vettel has thrust himself back into the title picture with his triumphs in Japan and Singapore and he has been well-backed into 13/8 to complete a Far East treble with another success at the Korea International Circuit.

A win in South Korea will also take him to the top of the drivers’ standings for the first time all season as he has moved to within four points of Fernando Alonso.

Vettel has mixed memories of Korea, qualifying on pole in 2010 before his engine blew up when in the lead in a race full of incident because of visibility issues.

Things went much smoother 12 months ago when he started second on the grid behind Lewis Hamilton, overtaking the McLaren man early on and effectively cantering to victory.

The fact that Red Bull have now successfully deployed their new innovative double DRS will be an additional aid to Vettel this year.

This will help boost straight-line speed and with a long straight after Turn 1 on the Korea circuit, this is where Red Bull may have an edge.

Other markets that may appeal to Red Bull fans are the 5/1 that Vettel and teammate Mark Webber both qualify on the front row of the grid or the 6/5 that Vettel begins on pole.

Alternatively, it is 8/1 that Vettel completes a third hat-trick from the aforementioned pair in that he starts from pole, wins the Korean Grand Prix and also posts the quickest time of the race.
