Wild Coco and Estimate picked as one-two by Ladbrokes man

Ladbrokes head of PR David Williams is relying on the form of the Lillie Langtry Stakes at Goodwood last month when making his selections for day two of the St Leger meeting at Doncaster.

He has plumped for Wild Coco at 7/4 as a confident selection in the Park Hill Stakes and has even gone as far to say that the Queen’s entrant Estimate will take second.

The early-morning favourite Nargys is expected to take the opener, which is a competitive nursery, with the quality of a previous win at Yarmouth expected to be enough even to overcome a far from ideal draw.

Nargys is currently 11/2 to take the first race.

For the second race, Gamilati is expected to return to the form which saw her win twice at Meydan in the Middle East earlier this season to land the spoils at 7/1.

The Gold Cheongsam is tipped to be a potential group horse in the future and is expected to take advantage of a low weight to win the third race at 9/4.

Wild Coco has already been outlined as the winner of the big race on the Doncaster card, while the John Gosden and William Buick combination are favoured in the fifth race with Space Ship at 5/2.

Prodigality was the pick for the penultimate race, but he is now a non runner, with preference seemingly for the Portland Stakes on the final day of the St Leger meeting on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Specific Gravity is the selection for the final race at 3/1, with conditions much the same as when hosing up at Newmarket last month.
