Spurs’ wait for first win sees Villas-Boas cut to be first boss ousted

Andre Villas- Boas has substantially shortened to be the first Premier League managerial casualty of the season as his wait for a first success at Tottenham continues.

A failure to beat Norwich at White Hart Lane means Spurs have made their worst start to a campaign in four years and as a result, Villas-Boas is now just 6/1 to be first Premier League manager to leave their current post.

This price was 14/1 before kick-off in the draw with Norwich.

Tottenham have just two points from their opening three games, with a failure to defend for the full 90 minutes part of their problem.

In all three games Tottenham have conceded in the final ten minutes, throwing away five points in the process.

Villas-Boas has asked for the Spurs fans to remain patient as the club’s hopes for another top-four finish threaten to go up in smoke early, with supporters already booing the new boss at the final whistle.

Moussa Dembele provided a rare bit of good news with a debut goal and AVB will be praying that the midfielder, along with fellow new recruit Clint Dempsey, quickly adapt to their new club.
