Aguero can find the scoresheet on his return to Madrid

Sergio Aguero has never beaten Real Madrid in 11 previous attempts but this could change in the Champions League as he makes his comeback with Manchester City.

Aguero has not played since the opening day of the Premier League season when injuring his knee against Southampton, but the consensus is that he is now fit to return.

Although not 100 per cent, City manager Roberto Mancini has indicated that Aguero will play some part at the Bernabeu and Aguero is 11/4 to score at any time in the 90 minutes on his comeback.

Aguero has previously faced the reigning Spanish champions 11 times from his spell at neighbours Atletico Madrid, losing eight and drawing three of these meetings.

Meanwhile, his own personal record was not overly great either, getting on the scoresheet just three times.

Therefore, with an unwanted record to put right, the 6/1 wincast double of Aguero scoring and Man City kicking off Group D with a success may be a popular punt.

Punters expecting Mancini to throw Aguero back in at the deep end with a starting berth can get 8/1 that he opens the scoring, while those believing he will start on the bench may rather take the 8/1 that he grabs the last goal of the game.

Alternative Aguero bets include an 80/1 that he really enjoys his first return to Madrid in 15 months by helping himself to a hat-trick, with Freddie Kanoute the last visiting player to achieve this feat in the 2007 Super Cup.

Furthermore, there is even a market relating to how Aguero will score if he does indeed find the target.

Bearing in mind virtually all of his Man City goals came with his stronger right foot last season, this looks the most obvious manner of an Aguero goal at 11/2.
