Lambert takes on Dawson in the Ladbrokes 4 P’s challenge

Ladbrokes have given Rickie Lambert and Michael Dawson the chance to secure some early-season silverware through a series of five exciting challenges.

Named the ‘Ladbrokes 5 P’s challenge, the Premier League duo went head-to-head to showcase their power, pace, precision, performance and panache.

And by heading to Facebook.com/Ladbrokes, there is the chance to win a Spurs shirt signed by Dawson and Southampton shirt signed by chief goal-getter Lambert.

The winner in each individual challenge was awarded three points, with bonus points also handed out by host and sports presenter Chris Cohen for artistic flair.

Up first was the typical fairground punchometer, with the duo getting the chance to showcase the power they possess in their hands.

This was followed by every footballer’s nightmare – the keepie-uppie – with the duo told to push the extravagance boundaries and try some unique skills for bonus panache points.

Pace came next, with a football placed on the six-yard line and a speed gun at the ready, the challenge was set as to who could hit the back of the net the hardest.

With theatrics one of the downsides of the game at present, Lambert and Dawson attempted to show why they were no divers with their best and largely shocking attempts to con a free-kick.

Finally, more accuracy was needed for precision rather than simply shooting at an open goal, with host Cohen stood bent over facing the other direction and the pair were posted the challenge of attempting to sting his rear end from 12 yards.

A clear overall winner was established and a trophy held aloft to kick off the new Premier League season, but by who?

Clearly winning the Ladbrokes P’s challenge was going to be a career highlight and provide a feeling of great satisfaction for a day out at Hitchen FC.
