Kell Brook a good bet to wrap up Carson Jones fight in six rounds

26-year-old Brook, the current WBA intercontinental champion, has yet to suffer defeat in his 27 professional fights, with 18 of his successes in those outings coming via knockout.
In Jones he takes on a welterweight fighter one year his junior, but one with a far less impressive record in the professional arena.
Indeed, the American competitor has suffered losses in eight of his 34 pro bouts, and has been knocked out on two occasions during this time too.

Saturday’s fight represents the first time Brook will meet an American competitor, though he has fought in the USA recently, where he overcame Luis Galarza by means of a fifth-round knockout.
His most recent fight came in Sheffield meanwhile, where he bested the younger brother of Ricky Hatton, Matthew, by unanimous decision after a 12-round slog.
Punters who feel Young has enough to go the distance with Brook on Saturday can get 15/8 odds about the hometown fighter succeeding in a 12-round battle.
However, such a bet looks worth avoiding, especially considering the way Brook has vowed to approach the bout.
He told reporters, “On July 7 he won’t be talking any more. He’ll be standing in front of me in my hometown in front of my fans.
“I will be nasty and spiteful against him. The crowd will play a huge part on the night too.”
Brook’s words are further indication that he is primed to victor by knockout means on Saturday, and rounds 4-6 look the most likely stoppage time at a generous 9/2.
