10/1 that FA Cup final is decided by goal line technology

THE ODDS of a goal being awarded via goal-line technology next season have been slashed by Ladbrokes.

The bookies have cut the odds that the development is introduced for kick off next season to 6/4 (from 5/2) following the news that the Hawk Eye & Goal Ref systems have been approved.

It’s virtually assured that the systems are in place for the next World Cup at 1/20, while there is sure to be interest in the 10/1 quoted that a goal is awarded via the technology in the 2012/13 FA Cup final.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Phantom goals have saved us and cost us plenty in equal measure over the years. It’s now odds-on to settle all these controversial moments once and for all.”
