Exciting Tomic and Kuznetskov lead Wimbledon accumulator

With so many long odds-on shots performing on day two of Wimbledon, we have picked out four potential winners to offer value as an accumulator which comes to almost 5/1.

19-year-old Bernard Tomic leads our picks, with the Australian afforded a 1/4 price to overcome inexperienced Belgian David Goffin.

Fitness concerns have plagued the exciting youngster recently, with Tomic attributing an Eastbourne loss to Fabio Fognini to being only 80 per cent fit last week.

However, he feels his next outing on grass will come with a more favourable result, admitting he feels the surface is advantageous to him in relation to other player’s preferences.

“Grass is hard to get the ball up high – it’s always low and that’s where I prefer it and these guys don’t prefer it on the tour these days,” he told AAP.

Kuznetsov has demonstrated his credentials at the All England club in the past, winning the Boy’s Singles title in 2009, before making a maiden appearance in the main competition the next year.

Still only 21 and improving constantly, he should have enough to beat a competitor more useful on hard and clay courts.

Kevin Anderson is the third selection, touted a 6/5 underdog to best Grigor Dimitrov and continue his ascension in the ATP World Rankings.

The previous best finish of either player at Wimbledon has been a run to the second round, which both achieved last year, but Anderson may be primed to go further this time round.

He is currently enjoying his loftiest ever standing in the world rankings, and career-best results in both Grand Slams so far this year make him look good for progression at Wimbledon too.

Swiss star Stanislas Wawrinka rounds off the accumulator, as a 2/5 hope to overcome Austrian Jurgen Melzer.

Since winning the Wimbledon Boy’s title back in 1999, Melzer has failed to live up to his potential at the All Lawn Club, and Wawrinka could be set to capitalise.

That notion stems from an impressive French Open showing by the Switzerland native earlier this year, meaning he carries strong Grand Slam form into the tournament.
