Wolves v Everton: in-form Toffees poised to add to misery

A draw at Swansea last Saturday was Wolves’ first Premier League point in nine games, though they’re still big underdogs for the visit of Everton this weekend at 7/2.

By contrast, their opponents have not lost in seven league matches, and are likely to see much support at 8/11 to condemn their already-relegated hosts to another defeat.

Some could take on the draw, bearing in mind Everton’s stalemate at Stoke coinciding with Wolves’ point in Wales, with the possibility of the teams cancelling each other out a 5/2 shot.

It is worth noting that Everton have been a free-scoring side of late, registering four times in three of their last four outings, including racking up that total away to Manchester United.

Therefore, punters could be attracted to the Toffees hitting four past the division’s most generous defence at 5/1.

Alternatively, many will take on Everton to win a game reaping three or more goals at an attractive 8/5 price.

With David Moyes’ men notching in both halves in four of their last six league matches too, they would appear primed to do so again at a generous 13/8, whilst the Merseysiders also look appealing to win both halves at 3/1.

Also, with each of the Toffees’ last four Premier League wins coming via at least a two goal margin, the away side to win giving up a one goal head start has definite chances at a big 2/1.

The contribution of Nikica Jelavic has been massive in turning Everton’s season around, with the Croatian smashing ten goals since his January switch from Rangers to see them up to seventh in the league.

Jelavic is 4/1 favourite to get the opener this weekend, with he and 7/1 Tim Cahill looking Everton’s main dangers.

Meanwhile, Matt Jarvis hit a brace at the Liberty Stadium last week, and rumoured to be leaving, he could bid farewell to the Molineux faithful by breaking the deadlock at 10/1.
