QPR could be dragged into relegation zone as Bolton must win

After surrendering a 2-0 lead at home to West Brom on Sunday, Ladbrokes make Bolton 1/3 favourites to be relegated from the Premier League.

Two of the three relegated sides have been confirmed, with Wolves and Blackburn certain to be playing Championship football next season, and only Bolton or QPR can realistically join them.

QPR are 9/4 shots to finish in the bottom three, which comes following Djibril Cisse’s late winner on Sunday, which propelled the Rs out of the relegation zone.

They face a monumental task in getting anything out of their final fixture however, as they travel to a Manchester City outfit who will secure a first Premier League title with victory.

It appears very difficult to see anything other than a City win in this game, especially after their ruthless dissection of Newcastle at the weekend, so Mark Hughes and co. are likely to rely on results elsewhere.

Namely at the Britannia Stadium, where Bolton face a tricky trip to meet Stoke, knowing that nothing but a win will give them any chance of staying in the league.

The Trotters collapsed late on against West Brom at the weekend, drawing 2-2 in a match they held a two-goal lead in with just 15 minutes remaining.

However, they will be buoyed by decent form on the road of late, where they have won two and drawn one of their last four matches.

Owen Coyle will also take heart from the example set by Wigan last season, who clinched a 2-1 victory at Stoke to ensure their Premier League survival.

Just two points separate Bolton and QPR, so should the Rs manage a far-fetched draw at Eastlands, it will be enough to keep them up barring a massive goal difference swing.

With that looking unlikely though, QPR could prove tremendous value at 9/4 to be relegated.
