England going nuts without KP for future one-day games

ENGLAND HAVE drifted in the World Cup betting markets since Kevin Pietersen announced his retirement, according to Ladbrokes.

Following his decision to quit limited overs cricket, the firm have reacted by pushing England out to 7/1 (from 6/1) in both the T20 and ODI World Cup markets.

However his retirement is good news for Surrey fans and his increased availability over the summer has seen the Lions’ odds cut to 7/2 (from 4/1) to win the CB40 league, and it’s 6/1 the county is victorious in the FLT20.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “KP’s cost us a fortune over the years so we’re not too sad to see him depart the limited overs international scene. No doubt he’ll hit us for six instead with Surrey this summer.”
