Bolton v Tottenham: Spurs the latest to claim away Reebok win

Published:

Tottenham’s victory over Blackburn saw them regain their spot in the top four of the Premier League after a sticky two months and 1/1 seems worth backing that they build on this success with a win at Bolton.

Victories in their final three games would surely be enough to see Spurs finish in the top four with Newcastle unlikely to make up a 13-goal deficit in terms of goal difference even if winning their own remaining fixtures.

This begins at Bolton, who have not made the Reebok Stadium a particularly formidable fortress this season.

Bolton have already been beaten on ten occasions at home in the league and their record against the clubs currently in the top half is especially dismal.

Owen Coyle’s men have taken points from just three of the 18 fixtures home and away against the top ten in the Premier League at present, which includes a single home win.

However, in Bolton’s favour is that they have come into some form at the right time of the season, as a three-game unbeaten run has taken to the brink of safety, with only goal difference currently keeping them in the bottom three.

Furthermore, Spurs are winless in their last eight Premier League away games and have not taken three points on the road in 2012 thus far.

It is 12/5 that this run is extended with a draw at the Reebok, while Bolton are 11/4 to take a mighty step towards safety with a victory.

In terms of who will score the goals, Kevin Davies is not what would be classified as prolific, but did grab both goals in the draw with Sunderland and is 9/4 to add to this tally with another strike at any time in the 90 minutes.

For Tottenham, Rafael Van der Vaart surpassed the landmark of ten goals this season with his finish against Blackburn and is 7/4 to be on target again at Bolton.
