West Brom v QPR: Rangers to continue to upset the odds

Published:

QPR travel to the Hawthorns this weekend to take on West Brom and look a fantastic price at 5/2 to continue their splendid form, in an attempt to defy what seemed imminent relegation.

Mark Hughes’ side looked destined for the drop a matter of weeks ago but three wins in their last five games has seen them claw their way out of the relegation zone.

West Brom have hit a bad patch, with only one win in six, but with Hodgson’s side seemingly safe they can play without pressure and are the favourites at 21/20 to record their sixth home success of the season.

The return fixture at Loftus Road ended in stalemate and while the Baggies will be happy with the draw at 12/5 it will do little for the R’s survival hopes.

Peter Odemwingie has once again been the main threat for Hodgson’s men this campaign and the former Lokomotiv Moscow striker is the 9/2 favourite to break the deadlock.

Jamie Mackie has popped up with some crucial goals for the London club and after getting on the scoresheet last time out against Swansea, the 26-year old is a great value 14/1 to be the principal man to hit the target here.

The Midlands club have been level at the break in a massive 17 games this season so getting behind the teams to be all square at half-time, with a QPR victory come the final whistle at 8/1, could be worth a punt.

Rangers are currently 5/4 to be relegated from the Premier League this season, considering they are set to take on the likes of Spurs Chelsea and Man City, this price may be worth some attention.
