Vince and Danny look the early value bets on The Voice

Published:

With the blind auditioning and the battling now over, it is time for The Voice to begin its live shows and there are some strong value bets already open to punters.

Danny O’Donoghue to be the winning coach @ 9/4

Danny appears to have the strongest quintet of all of the five coaches and arguably has three possible winners within his camp.

David Julien will have impressed during his battle and looks a darkhorse, while Bo Bruce and Max Milner have the capacity to grow with sensible song choices.

Even Aleks Josh could shine if gaining some confidence and managing not to be overshadowed by the more seasoned powerful opposition.

Will.i.am is the favourite to be the winning coach, largely because he mentors show favourite Jaz Ellington, but Joelle Moses looks his only other serious contender.

Jessie J is another with two worthy challengers, while Tom Jones appears to have pegged all of his hopes onto Ruth Brown.

Vince Kidd to win The Voice @ 10/1

With each coach only bringing one act to the final, picking a contender from Danny’s camp at this stage may not be wisest move given the team strength, although Bo could substantially shorten in the coming weeks from 12/1 if delivering on the first live show.

Therefore, the safer bet may be to look elsewhere and Jessie’s Vince Kidd looks particularly current and different from the rest to make an impact.

The only real challenge from his team is likely to come from Becky Hill, but her attitude may begin to frustrate viewers in the coming weeks and there is a strong possibility that voters will be put off her.

Of those at bigger prices, Leanne Mitchell appeals slightly at 20/1 given the weakness of Tom’s team and a couple of strong performances could see her make the final at worst.
