Tottenham v Norwich: Spurs can climb above Arsenal with victory

Published:

Norwich travel to Tottenham Hotspur knowing Premier League survival is as good as guaranteed having hit the all important 40-point mark in their 2-2 draw with Everton at the weekend.

Spurs though still have plenty to fight for and have slipped to fourth in the league following Arsenal’s excellent 1-0 victory over Manchester City on Sunday.

A win for Harry Redknapp’s men would take them back above Arsenal but Norwich have produced some excellent performances this term and will be a fairly tricky proposition for a side who have struggled for consistency in recent weeks…

Match odds

Spurs are the big favourites for this clash at 1/3 and it’s hard to see beyond a win for the north London side.

After a poor run that saw them go five Premier League games without a win, they have seen off Swansea at White Hart Lane and were unlucky not to come away from Sunderland with more than a draw at the weekend.

With Gareth Bale once again hugging the left touchline and Aaron Lennon back from injury on the right, Spurs should have enough attacking threat to bag a win that would see them take a huge step towards Champions League qualification.

If you fancy an upset though, then Norwich can be backed at 8/1 to get their first away win against a side currently in the top half of the table or a 4/1 to nick a point.

Goal markets

Bale bagged both goals in Spurs’ 2-0 win at Carrow Road earlier in the season and he can be backed at 6/1 to open the scoring this time out.

Meanwhile, Spurs have kept just one clean sheet in their previous six home games so a punt on both teams to score at 8/11 may be worth consideration.
