QPR v Swansea: Rs to claim vital win at home to travel-sick Swans

Published:

The pressure is well and truly on QPR in this battle of promoted sides, and the London club can inflict a fourth consecutive defeat on Swansea at 23/20.

Whilst the visitors appear safe from the relegation worries that plague their hosts, their form has tailed off in the past few weeks, and they could struggle to fulfill 5/2 odds for what would be a fifth away win of the season.

Meanwhile, some may be inclined to back the draw at 23/10, in light of the 1-1 draw that the sides played out at the Liberty Stadium earlier in the season, and the fact that three of the past four meetings of the teams have ended in stalemates.

QPR triumphed 4-0 in this fixture last season however, and whilst such an emphatic outcome appears unlikely this time, it could be worth taking on the home side to win the game with three or more goals occurring at 11/4.

You can also back the Rs at a generous 7/4 to keep a clean sheet, and at 5/2 to win the match to nil, which looks a decent bet considering that the Swans have failed to find the net in two of their past three outings.

Also, Brendan Rodgers’ travellers have fallen behind by half-time in almost half of their matches on the road this term, and so QPR are an interesting 12/5 chance to be leading at the break and the final whistle in this match.

Alternatively, the Rs are available at a big 4/1 to win both halves, and that could be worth some attention too.

Bobby Zamora is expected to be restored to the starting lineup after sitting out the Hoops’ trip to Old Trafford this weekend, and is an appealing 5/1 shot to score first.

Adel Taarabt will be key to the home side’s survival chances too though, and could score the opener at Loftus Road for the second week running at 6/1.
