PSG target Man City and Liverpool stars for French revolution

Carlo Ancelotti is desperate to land a big-name forward this summer, and Man City’s Edin Dzeko and Liverpool’s Luis Suarez are said to be at the forefront of his wishlist.

Funds will be no problem for Paris Saint-Germain, whose Qatari owners are intent on building the club into a leading European competitor, and so will provide significant investment to meet Ancelotti’s needs.

Therefore, suggestions of moves for both players rather than just one of them appear as though they may not be too far wide of the mark.

Dzeko has grown frustrated with life at Manchester City in recent months, after a blistering start to the campaign which saw him head the club’s scoring charts for a lengthy period.

His inability to come to terms with Roberto Mancini’s squad rotation policy has since confused and irritated the Bosnian, and Mancini could choose to cash in on the striker to free up funds for a bid for Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain.

City would be keen to recoup much of the £27million fee they paid Wolfsburg for Dzeko’s services, and PSG could face competition from Juventus to secure the attacker’s signature.

Meanwhile, Suarez’s future at Anfield has come under much scrutiny since he received an eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra earlier in the season.

After refusing to shake the player’s hand in the aftermath, much negative attention was paid to the Merseyside club, with many believing that the Uruguayan had put himself in an untenable position regarding his future in England.

Juventus are believed to be keen on offering the striker an escape route, though the Turin club would certainly not have the financial might to match PSG for both players.

The £30million transfer fee for Suarez would be afforded relatively easily by the French club’s Qatari owners, even in addition to £27million Dzeko, and they would look favourites to sign either, or both players this summer.
